This presentation is a ‘dry run'' of a presentation I will be making at the Keystone conference in a few weeks. In this talk I will present a general rationale for team science and discuss progress by the BCBC in developing new reagents and experimental systems that can be used in studies of pancreas development. I will also discuss the betacell.org website, and how it is being positioned to be an information platform for this field. Please share your opinions with me afterwards so I can improve on any parts that are not sufficiently clear or meaningful. I''d like for the conference to get off to a good start.
