I began my career as a research assistant at Vanderbilt shortly after earning my B.S. in Biology from the University of Tennessee. My first position was in the Division of Endocrinology where I worked with Dr. David Rabin performing clinical research in human infertility and hormone production. I joined the Magnuson lab in 1991. I have been involved in many interesting projects including development of the Transgenic Mouse ES Cell/Shared Resource and numerous gene targeting projects that utilize mouse embryonic stem cells for the generation of genetically altered mice. My loves outside the lab include time with family, gardening, hiking and biking.
