Members, family and friends of the Vanderbilt Center for Stem Cell Biology (VCSCB) joined up to put their legs in gear for the 2004 JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes event on September 11th.
The turnout and the weather were great, a perfect combination for a 3-mile walk around Nashville''s Centennial Park.
Tennessee congressman Jim Cooper attended the event and encouraged participants with his support of stem cell research and for increased funding for diabetes-related research.
Let''s hope the JDRF meets its fundraising goals this year, as we continue our efforts to advance stem cell biology. Together, we can make it happen.
