The Doris Duke Charitable Foundation has selected 14 physician-scientists conducting clinical research to receive 2009 Clinical Scientist Development Awards (CSDA) of $135,000 per year for three years. The CSDA provides start-up funding for physician-scientists establishing their own research teams and enables them to protect 75% of their professional time for clinical research.
